THE SENTENCE
Definition:
A sentence is an arrangement of words that makes complete sense.
It must be meaningful and must be acceptable to the speaker of the language at the same time.
FOR EXAMPLE
·         John is singing a song.

Q. WHAT IS WORD?
THE WORD
A meaningful group (combination) of different letters is called word.
  •        The branch of linguistics that studies word structures is called morphology.
  •        The branch of linguistics that studies word meanings is called lexical semantics.

For Example:
  1. GO 
  2. END
  3. BIRD
  4. BEAUTY etc

LETS HAVE A LOOK AT THE EXAMPLES GIVEN BELOW

REST: It is a word because it is meaningful.

SERT: It is not a word because it is meaningless, though it consists of the letters as for the word “REST”.
